For each quote, the engine races multiple liquidity sources and picks the best rate. You see one rate; the engine handles which source actually fills the trade. For routes that no single source covers cleanly, the engine composes a multi-hop quote (your asset → intermediate → destination) and surfaces the final rate as one number.

For routes where lock-rate is supported, yes. Lock window is typically ~5 minutes, capped by the underlying provider's quote expiry. If you don't deposit in time, the lock drops and the engine re-quotes at the current market. For non-lockable routes you take the market rate at deposit time.

Most swaps complete in 5–30 minutes end-to-end. Source-chain confirmations are usually the rate-limiting step — BTC at 1–3 confirms (typically 30–60 min if you're not on Lightning); L2s and most token chains are sub-five-minute. Same-chain swaps (e.g. USDT ↔ USDC on Ethereum) are near-instant.

0% platform fee. uSwap doesn't charge a spread on top of the underlying provider rate. You pay the network gas on whichever chain you send from, and the underlying liquidity source's internal spread (which is already in the quote — no surprise markup). The engine is subsidized by the spend side (gift cards, Telegram Premium, etc.) so traders ride free.
